The CLASS Education Foundation is dedicated to expanding access to STEM and creative learning opportunities that prepare students for the future. By supporting innovation in our schools, CLASS helps inspire curiosity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning across the Sulphur Springs Union School District.
How has CLASS helped so far?
Bringing STEM Programs to Our Schools
CLASS is proud to help bring STEM-focused programs directly to students, giving them opportunities for hands-on exploration in science, technology, engineering, and math.
This year, CLASS introduced LEGO® Education toValley View Community School’s science classes, where students are already experiencing early success through interactive, project-based learning. The program encourages collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving while making science and engineering concepts come alive in the classroom.
LEGO Education at Valley View Community School
This year, the CLASS Foundation funded a LEGO Education pilot program for 3rd–5th grade students at Valley View Community School. The hands-on, brick-based lessons build problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork, giving every student a role to play and access to materials that aren't always available at home.
The response has been overwhelmingly positive: students across all three grade levels rated their engagement 4.5–5 stars, and teachers report students who don't normally engage stepping up to lead and help their peers. Because the LEGO format is visual and hands-on, it removes reading comprehension as a barrier — every student can jump in and contribute.

What’s Next for CLASS?
Following the success of the Valley View pilot, the CLASS Foundation's next goal is to expand the LEGO Education program to all schools across the Sulphur Springs Union School District — giving more students district-wide the same hands-on, confidence-building learning experience.
