Supporting Innovation in Our Schools

The CLASS Education Foundation is dedicated to expanding access to STEM and creative learning opportunities that prepare students for the future. By supporting innovation in our schools, CLASS helps inspire curiosity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning across the Sulphur Springs Union School District.

How has CLASS helped so far?

Annual Teacher Innovation Grants
CLASS believes in empowering our district’s exceptional educators and nurturing a space where innovative ideas can develop and flourish. Through our annual Teacher Innovation Grants, CLASS provides up to $500 per project for teachers to bring creative, high-impact learning opportunities to their students. These projects focus on creativity, innovation, and wellness, helping classrooms come alive with fresh ideas and engaging experiences.

CLASS has awarded 29 teacher grants to date

Bringing STEM Programs to Our Schools
CLASS is proud to help bring STEM-focused programs directly to students, giving them opportunities for hands-on exploration in science, technology, engineering, and math.

This year, CLASS introduced LEGO® Education to Valley View Community School’s science classes, where students are already experiencing early success through interactive, project-based learning. The program encourages collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving while making science and engineering concepts come alive in the classroom.

What’s Next for CLASS?

Building on the success at Valley View, CLASS plans to expand LEGO® Education programs to seven additional school sites across the district—reaching even more students with innovative, hands-on STEM experiences.

CLASS will also evaluate successful Teacher Innovation Grant projects to identify opportunities for scaling effective ideas across multiple schools, ensuring that creativity and innovation continue to grow districtwide.

By continuing to invest in forward-thinking programs and supporting our educators, CLASS is helping prepare students with the skills, confidence, and curiosity that they’ll need to thrive in the future.
